Visikol, a contract research services company in the life sciences sector, has expanded its footprint in Hunterdon County by 11,000 square feet with the addition of lab and office space.
The firm, which is based at 53 Frontage Road in Hampton, originally spun out from Rutgers University in 2016 and has grown rapidly as a provider of advanced drug discovery and development services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies. It counts the top 20 pharmaceutical companies as clients and has been instrumental in dozens of drug discovery and development programs.
Visikol’s newest facilities are adjacent to its current space within the Shelbourne Building, enabling it to keep its team under one roof. According to a news release, the company as grown over the last two years with its advanced tissue imaging and advanced cell culture services, having developed a multiplex tissue imaging approach that researchers use to develop immuno-oncology therapeutics and for understanding the immune system’s role in the tumor micro-environment.
